David A. Drafts

David A Drafts, age 85, of Lexington, passed from his earthly life into everlasting life with his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2025. He was born February 6, 1940, in Gilbert, South Carolina.  Known affectionately as David Allen, he leaves behind a legacy that will undoubtedly be remembered, and his presence will be deeply missed.

David was a dedicated truck driver for Southeastern Freight Lines until his retirement. His commitment to his work and family exemplified a strong work ethic and dedication.

His family was of greatest importance in his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda; sons, Jeffrey (Melissa) and Anthony; and a sister, Margaret Derrick. He is also survived by beloved grandchildren, Derek (Malea), Kayla, Sara (Nate) and Lindsay; as well as adored great grands, JD, Annalise, Wrenley, and Brody.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Angie; as well as his father and mother, Henry Allen and Effie Drafts.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
