David Paul Schirato

David Schirato, 79, passed away on July 12, 2026 at his home in Lexington, South Carolina. Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, he was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Ann Schirato.

He was an active member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, South Carolina where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, member of the choir and the Knights of Columbus. He was also very involved in prison ministries.

He spent more than 20 years helping feed those in need through his volunteer service with Sharing God's Love and other organizations in the Columbia area.

David is survived his wife, Ginny; their two children, Paul Schirato (Joanne) and Dawn Murray (Robert); five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and three great-grandchildren.

In accordance with David's wishes, the family will hold a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to their local food bank. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
