Damon Laverne Hayden, 68 of Lexington, passed away peacefully March 6, 2026. Born September 22, 1957 in the town of North, SC. Damon spent the majority of his life in Lexington. He was a well known owner of a residential roofing company for over 25 years, followed by driving commercial trucks until he retired in 2022.
His warm smile and kind spirit will be deeply missed by his family, and all who knew him.
Damon is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy J. Hayden; a son, Damon Hayden, Jr.; and daughter, Kayce Hayden; siblings, Daniel Hayden (Kim), Patrick O’Briant, and Melinda O’Briant.
Damon is predeceased by his parents, Vurdaniel Hayden and Helen Carroll; as well as siblings, Annie Louise Duggans, Carnelia Sandoval, and John Hayden.
Damon’s life will be celebrated by all who knew and loved him on Saturday, March 14th, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Springdale Baptist church located at 357 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
His memory will remain in the hearts of loved ones who cherish the many happy moments shared together.
