Dale Connelly Drenten

Dale Connelly Drenten, 71, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family that will endure for generations. Born on June 6, 1954, Dale lived a life defined by deep care for those she loved and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.

Dale was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Mike, and together they shared a bond rooted in loyalty, companionship, and love. She was a proud and loving mother to her children: her oldest son, Christopher A. Hughes, and his wife, Megan A. Hughes; her daughter, Candice Oswalt; and her son, Corey Hughes.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dale cherished her grandchildren—Brianna (married to Pat), Chance, Arden, and Sage—and adored her great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Sutton, Scout, Sully-Cate, and Foster. She also found great comfort and companionship in her beloved cats, who held a special place in her heart.

Dale will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and the warmth she brought to her family’s lives. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the generations that follow.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the Drenten family with arrangements.
