Craig Combs Obituary

Craig Combs, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on May 24th, 2020. Craig was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 25th, 1943 to Ira and Eleanor Combs.

Craig joined the US Navy at 17 years old and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis where he was in the blockade. After serving in the Navy, Craig met his loving wife, Jennifer, and they married soon after. He worked in sales for the remainder of his life until his retirement from NFIB several years ago. Craig was known by all close to him as a hard worker who was passionate about his family and home projects. Craig was also a Shriner.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Ira Combs. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jennifer Kaufman Combs; his mother, Eleanor Combs of Nolensville, TN; sisters, Janice (Wayne) Millen of Nolensville, TN, Mary Combs of Nolensville, TN; brother, Randy Combs of Austin, TX; children, Randy Combs (Audrey), Donnie Combs, Darrell Combs (Autumn), Greg Henderson, Todd Johnson, Kristina Combs, Craig Johnson, Elizabeth “Jo” Holland (Mitchell); grandchildren, Brock Combs, Brittany Johnson, Breanna Grow, Lucas Combs, Marissa Grow, Alli Johnson, Kyrie Johnson, Logan Johnson; a host of 6 other grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers his loving wife Jennifer has asked for donations to be made in remembrance to the Shriners Hospital.

There will be a Memorial Service held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1:00PM in the Town of Lexington City Hall, 111 Maiden Street, Lexington, SC 29072.
