Cody W. Campbell

Services for Cody W. Campbell will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Gilbert at 441 Lewie Street Gilbert, SC 29054. The family will recieve friends immediately after the service in the fellowship hall of the Church.

Mr. Cody W. Campbell, 72, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Dewey H. Campbell Jr. and Ann Albrittain Campbell. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Bonnett Campbell; step-son, Randy Bonnett; sisters; Deborah Blanks, Katharine Powers, Susan Bloodworth, Conni Shumpert, and Wendy Ziegler; two step-grandchildren; Zoe Bonnett and Maizy Bonnett. He was predeceased by a brother, Dewey H. Campbell, III,

Cody grew up in Eau Claire, part of Columbia, SC, where he participated in scouts, sports, church activities and camps, Royal Ambassadors, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Cody truly never met a strangers, he developed many life-long firendships along the way. He attended the University of South Carolina, and spent much of his career working with computer operations. As he matured, he was called to serve Christ. He joined the Church of God of Prophecy where he became an Ordained Minister under the mentorship of J. Robert (JR) Martin. He served as a pastor of churches in Springfield and in Orangeburg. While serving in Springfield he met his wife, Shirley Bonnett, and soon after they were married. Once retired, Cody continued to serve the Lord whenever and wherever he was called to do so.
