Christopher Edward Tinsley

Christopher Edward Tinsley, 45, of Lexington, SC, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  A COVID safe, celebration of Chris’ life will take place outdoors at the Tinsley home with Lorena, Jack and the families at 116 Toula Lane, Lexington, SC 29072 on Thursday, May 21, 2020. The drop-in will take place from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Please bring your lawn chairs as the fellowship will occur outdoors.

Chris was an amazingly talented man, loving husband, cherished father, loyal son and a true friend to all.  He held multiple information technology certifications and worked as a network administrator on contract for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Columbia.  He loved his family and friends with all his heart, was a big fan of Formula 1 racing, classic cars, war strategies, and his beloved Gamecocks.

He is survived by his wife Lorena Harryman Tinsley, his son Jack Tinsley, father James (Jim) Tinsley, mother Diane Tinsley, brother Jonathan "Jon" Tinsley (Carrie), niece Savannah and nephew Cooper, aunt Debbie Maxwell and two four-legged loved ones Shelby and Stella..  He’s also survived by his father-in-law Denton Harryman, mother-in-law Connie Harryman and sister-in-law Yvonne Hamilton (Luke), nephew Luca Thomas, nieces Hazel Marie, Zoe Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Chris’ name to the Educational Foundation Lexington School District One, dedicated to the Lexington Middle School, 702 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. 

A special acknowledgement of thanks to Lorena’s loving “Tribe” for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
