Christopher Olden, Jr.

Chris Jr. was born on April 17, 1975 in Columbia, SC. He was the beloved son of Christopher Olden Sr. and Queen Riley Olden. He transitioned into his glorified body on Thursday February 5, 2026 at Lexington Medical Center.

Chris Jr. was a graduate of Lexington High School. He continued education, acquiring his bachelor's from Limestone and his master's from Florida State University. He was employed with the SC Department of Revenue. Chris Jr. loved fishing, grilling, baking, spending time with family, and was a diehard Clemson fan. As much as he loved the Clemson tigers, he loved God even more. As a member of Christian Life, he continued to mature in his relationship with God.

Chris Jr. was a kindhearted man who had a love for his family and friends as deep as the dimples that showed up when he smiled.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bethany J. Olden; his son, Elijah R. Olden; his parents, Christopher & Queen Olden; his siblings, Cynthia Brown, Kevin Olden, David Olden (Nakita), and Joy Pearson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Gia, Shaun, Trinitee, and Daniel. Also to cherish his memory are his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Lexington Medical Center, Fresenius Kidney Care, his Uncle Russell Riley with the Center for Prosthetics, Pastor Justin and the Christian Life Church family, and the Word Alive Church family, for their loving care, thoughts and prayers. The family would also like to thank those who offered prayers, condolences, phone calls, messages, or any acts of kindness.

Funeral service will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11am at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel 609 Northwood Road Lexington, SC 29072. Burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park 138 Corley Mill Road Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am prior to the service at the funeral home.
