Chris Cody

Memorial services for Christopher “Chris” Andrew Cody, 48, will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Chris passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on January 3, 1978 in Lexington County, South Carolina to Herb Howell and Arlene Cody Kyzer. Chris worked in the construction industry where he was a master carpenter. He loved working with his hands, especially working with wood. Chris found joy in simplest things; he enjoyed listening to music, being in the outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Chris is survived by his father, Herb Howell; mother, Arlene Kyzer; children, Roy Cody, Payton Walker (Benjamin Jr.), Minnie Cody (John Thach), Alice Cody (Alyssa Guest), Corry Malcolm (Katelyn), and Jonathon Kehoe (Amber); grandchildren, Oakland Shepler, Kori Thach, Alyssa Malcolm, Hailey Malcolm, and Kenna Kehoe.
