Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, May 29 at First United Methodist Church in Harleyville, South Carolina. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Cheryl was born on March 30, 1953 in Harleyville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Joseph McKewn Albergotti and Aileen Fralix Albergotti. She was born and raised in Harleyville and a 1971 graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School. In high school, Cheryl enjoyed her time playing basketball and playing flute for the band.

Following the birth of her two children, Cheryl selflessly devoted her life to working and providing for her daughters. She spent several years as the District Manager of Quality Auto Parts and White Auto Parts, before she began her career with her family’s business. After thirty years of working as both a Comptroller and Office Manager for multiple family businesses, she retired in 2017.

Cheryl was excellent at cooking and baking, known for her amazing potato salad. She also had a passion for writing. Cheryl loved feeding and checking on the animals behind her house, especially with her great-granddaughter, April.

She lived a life of great faith, evident by her devotion to serve others. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, serving as a Children’s Sunday School teacher for many years.

Cheryl developed a fascination for family genealogy and loved discovering new things about her family’s history. She even spearheaded a Harley/Albergotti family reunion.

Cheryl made many memories with her only grandson, Christopher, who she greatly treasured. She also had three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter all of whom she loved dearly and made many wonderful memories of their time together.

Surviving are two daughters, Meredith Pearce (Ed) of Lexington and Christie White (Claude) of Pineville; four grandchildren, Christopher White (Loni), Katherine and Abigail Pearce, and Laura Clarke; one great-granddaughter, April White; three siblings, Patsy Widdowson of Daytona Beach, FL, Gregg Albergotti (Timmie) of Orangeburg, and Hamp Campbell (Judy) of Boaz, AL; and many beloved family members.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by brothers, Doug Albergotti and Joseph Albergotti Jr.
