Charles G Gantt

A memorial service for Charles G. Gantt, 83, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 at Gantt St. Baptist Church with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Mr. Gantt passed away July 22, 2020. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late George and Leola Poole Gantt. He enjoyed his family and fellowship. He was an avid Gamecock fan and took pleasure in fishing. Mr. Gantt was known to take great pride in his work on his projects.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Gantt; son, Billy Dean Gantt (Renee); daughters, Terry Greene (Keith) and Cathy G. Brown (Anthony); grandchildren, Matthew Greene, A.J. Brown (Makayla), Steven Brown, Elizabeth Brown, and Jackson Gantt; great-grandchildren, Shaun Greene and Ryann Greene; brother, James A. Gantt (Janelle); sisters, Thelma Stewart and Juanita Williams.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy E. Gantt; brother, Wallace Gantt; and sisters, Aileen Chancey and Pat Hennessy.
