Carroll Otis Sharpe, Jr., 68, passed away on July 10, 2026. Born in Swansea, South Carolina, he was a funny and loving man who brought joy to every life he touched. Carroll was known for his work as a dedicated City Employee for the City of Cayce, a role he took great pride in until his retirement. His love for his community was only surpassed by his love for his family and his many personal passions.
Carroll was a man of many interests. He had a deep love for animals, a passion that was evident to all who knew him. He also enjoyed camping, embracing the tranquility and beauty of nature. During quiet evenings, Carroll could often be found watching old movies and television shows, a hobby that brought him great pleasure. Carroll was a widower, but the love he had for his family never waned. He is survived by his sons, Joshua Sharpe and Johnny Johnson; and his brothers, Robert Sharpe, Ronnie Sharpe (Julene), and David Sharpe (Bridgette).
He was predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Alice Dial Sharpe; and his siblings, William Sharpe, Elizabeth Sharpe, and Wayne Sharpe.
Services for Carroll are under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Lexington Chapel. As we remember and celebrate Carroll's life, we kindly invite friends and family to share their memories of him on his memorial page. His wonderful spirit and his funny and loving nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
