Carolyn Crout Williamson was called home on April 22, 2026. She was born in Pelion, South Carolina in 1935 to the late Cleola and Charlie Crout. Our beloved mother was predeceased by her husband, our loving father, Robert Williamson.
Surviving are her daughters; Sandra Golden (Richard) and Sherrie Smith; Grandchildren; Becky Golden-Nogaki (Hayato) and Jessica Dorn (John); Great-Grandchildren; Chandler and Easton Dorn, many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Ann Crout.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn is preceded in death by infant son, Randy Williamson; sister, Patricia Metcalf; brother, Bill Crout and son-in-law, Bill Smith.
Carolyn was a strong woman of faith and she loved her home church, Florence Baptist, where she served faithfully in the choir and numerous other positions. She was an active volunteer for the Pelion Rescue Squad for many years and devoted 20 years to Meals on Wheels. She truly had a heart for others.
She loved traveling the world with her sister and friends. She started playing golf in her 60s and she was and avid animal lover, adopting as many as she could as she lived in a rural community. She also supported numerous animal rescue groups. A life well lived.
