Carol Rae Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was the cherished wife of Allen O'Neal Smith for 62 years, a testament to their enduring love and devotion.
Carol was a devoted mother to three daughters, Teresa Brazell (Eddie), Beverly Ringer (Steve), and Tonya Kuhn (Dallas). Her life was richly blessed by her grandchildren, Cameron Brazell (Kimber), Hunter Brazell (Madison), Braxton Brazell, Sawyer Ringer, Tanner Ringer, Steven Ringer, Paul Ringer (Jessica), Stephanie Wolfe, Dallas Kuhn and Sam Kuhn (Jess). She also took great joy in her great-grandchildren, Kayden Brazell, Adley Brazell, Brody Brazell, and Henry Brazell, each of whom brought a special light to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Valree Wooten (Doug) and Charleen Fitzgerald (Joe); brother, Steve Wadford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Edward and Arlistene Wadford; her dear daughter, Maria Ann; her beloved grandson, Chris Smith; sister, Joyce Gardner; and brother, Danny Wadford.
Carol's sense of humor and deep love for her family will forever be remembered. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Barr-Price Funeral Home, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC, 29072.
