Carol Jeanne Byrne

Carol Jeanne Byrne, age 81, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 6, 2025. Carol was born on March 28, 1944, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to Stella and James Cornwell. She was a beloved and active member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.

Carol touched every soul she met in the most amazing, caring, and loving way possible. She had a deep and everlasting love for our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as her granddaughter and great-grandchildren, who meant the entire world to her. Carol always looked forward to her great-grandson's practices and, most importantly, the baseball games.

Carol was predeceased by her son, Willbert “Billy” Byrne. She is survived by her granddaughter, Destiny Byrne; her great-grandchildren, Bentley Ritchie and Sterling Olin; Destiny’s fiancé, Todd Olin; and her daughter-in-law, Iris Byrne, as well as others she loved dearly.

Rest in heavenly peace, Carol, better known as “the best Granny ever.” You will always be loved, missed, and cherished, never forgotten, and always in our hearts.

“For you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; The mountains and hills shall break into song before you, and all of the trees of the field will clap their hands.”
