Carl Jr. Lake

Funeral services for Carl Jr. Lake, 81, will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel with the Rev. Mary Ida Timms officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda SC. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Lake passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Carl and Nora Lorick Lake, and was a sawmill supervisor with Georgia Pacific for 20 years.

Surviving are his wife, Koger Lake; son, Billy Lake (MarthaAnn); daughters, Kellie Matthews, and Jessica Warren (Chris); brother, Lorick Lake; and grandchildren, Victoria Matthews, Caleb Warren, William Lake, Corman Lake, Hannah Warren, and Heather Tanner.

He was predeceased by siblings, Edith Pou, Elliot Lake, Mildred Buzhardt, Mae Miller, and Truman Lake.
