It is with profound sorrow and a sense of deep loss that we announce the passing of our beloved Carl Edward "Buddy" Miller. Born on June 7, 1939, in Lapel, IN, Carl departed this life on May 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy rich in love, service, and devotion. "The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living," Marcus Tullius Cicero once said, and as we mourn Carl's departure, we also celebrate a life well-lived, honoring his memory by remembering his extraordinary journey and the many lives he touched.
Carl was a man who lived life on his own terms, full of strength, integrity, and a unique sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him. He spent his career in the glass manufacturing industry, serving as a quality control specialist. After retirement he worked at Shell Point Gold Club in Fort Myers, FL for 20 years.
Carl is survived by his wife, Rosemary Miller; and their sons, Brad (Lisa) Miller of Lexington, SC and Todd (Carol) Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Kasey (Mel) of Largo, FL, Samantha (Nick) of Lexington, SC, Nathan (Carmen) of Ft. Wayne, IN; great grandsons, Weston Riedford and Miles Riedford; 2 sisters, Janet Hobbs of Pendleton, IN and Avis Miller; as well as his sister-in-law, Bonnie Miller of Lapel, IN.
A service to celebrate Carl's life is under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Homes and Crematorium (Lexington).
We invite all who knew and loved Carl to join us in remembering and honoring his life. As we mourn his passing, let's also celebrate his life, the joy he brought into our lives, and the indelible impact he had on those around him. We encourage you to leave your memories of Carl and upload photos to his memorial page, as we come together to remember a truly extraordinary man.
