Carl E. Lucas

Carl E. Lucas, 76, went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021. He was born on May 23, 1945 - the youngest son of ten children to the late Annie Ruth and Earl Lucas, Sr. of Pelion, South Carolina. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Lucas; his sons Eddie Lucas (Lindy), Jamie Lucas (Darlene), and Randy Lucas (Lacy); his grandchildren Tanna Deese (Jimmy), Ashley Perry (Michael), Bennett Lucas, Ryan Lucas, and Nolan Lucas; his great-grandchildren Kaylee Deese and Kairi Perry; his sisters Gaynell Sharpe, Ivonne Hill, WilbaJean Black, and Maudine Troutman. 

He is predeceased by his sisters and brothers Mildred Warren, Kathryn Baddley, Louise Lucas, Earl Lucas, Jr., and William (Bill) Lucas. 

Funeral services will be held 4:00pm, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC.

The family sends their sincerest appreciation for the love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in Carl’s honor to the Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, or the Diabetes Foundation.
