Brenda Smith Walker

Mrs. Brenda Smith Walker, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1942 in Gilbert, South Carolina to the late Raymond Dupre and Iris Snelgrove Smith. Mrs. Brenda was a member of Pond Branch Methodist Church and worked for an insurance agency where she would later retire as a claims adjuster.

Surviving are her son, Cody Carter; step-daughter, Teresa Taylor; brothers, Larry Smith (Laura), Bill Smith (Margaret), Carey Smith, and David Smith (Ginny). She was predeceased by her first husband, Bruce Carter; and second husband, Jack Walker.

In accordance with Mrs. Brenda’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
