Brenda Smith Vines

Lexington - Brenda S. Vines, 71, passed away May 7th, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born November 23rd, 1949 to the late Charles Lewis Smith and Margaret Louise Vaughn Mack. Mrs. Vines is survived by her husband, James L. Vines, Jr; daughter, Sara Elisabeth Ure; sister, Betty Underwood; brother, Danny Smith; and one grandchild, Lisa Marie Ure.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 13th, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.

She had always said, that she was right with the Lord, and that we should be as well. Always a teacher in life, she strove to make everyone's day a little brighter. After having gotten injured years ago, she pursued college a second time in her life. With four years of college behind her, she had attained a Bachelor's Associates degree in teaching high school. Always with a kind word, and a bright smile; she could get anyone talking for hours on end, for whomever would listen. A devoted wife, and loving mother, with a very caring heart; she will be greatly missed.
