Bob Payne

Services for Robert F. Payne, 81, will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Metts officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church 533 Hayride Rd., Gilbert, SC 29054. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.

  Mr. Payne died Tuesday October 13, 2020.  Born in Amma, WV, he was a son of the late Cully and Ruth Parson Payne.  He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church,  retired from Overnight Transportation and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

  Survivors include his wife Thelma Grubbs Payne, sons, Dwaine Payne (Melynda), Rodney Payne (Melissa), Danny Tribble (Annette), daughters, Tammie Rauch (Steven), Debra Tribble, sister, Juanita Knida, grandchildren, Travis Hartley, Kimberly Rauch, Kelly Rauch, Makayla Payne, Morgan Payne, Crystal Gurtisen, Brittney Gurtisen, Becky Tribble, Danny J. Tribble,  8 great-grandchildren and nephew, Raymond Greathouse.

He was predeceased by brothers Delburt Payne and Paul Payne.
