Dudley Blake Valentine, known to all as Blake, passed away on April 9, 2026 surrounded by his beloved family. Born on April 30, 1974 in Meridian, MS, Blake lived a vibrant and accomplished life. His journey took him from his birthplace and everywhere in between to the bustling community of Lexington, South Carolina, where he resided for 25+ years. His charismatic demeanor and unmatched work ethic established him as a respected figure within his community and beyond.
Blake’s professional triumphs were as impressive as his personal ones. He was very well known and respected by his peers. As a Director of Land Acquisition in the real estate industry, he embodied the spirit of innovation and transformation.
Blake’s love for his family was at the core of his existence; his warmth and generosity knew no bounds.
He was an avid hunter and conservator of anything land, and/or animal. His family and the very essence of his person will be his legacy.
Blake is survived by his very proud and supportive parents, Albert Dudley Valentine Jr. and Judith Valentine; his loving and devoted wife, Angela Valentine; and most proudly, his children, Kristen Jordan Burch (Patrick), Jakob Dylan Valentine (Kellie), and Landry Kate Valentine; his siblings, Kimberly Valentine Pierrotti (Brian), Kylee Valentine Pickle (Robert); and precious nieces and nephews who he adored. He was most happy with the addition of his 2 beautiful granddaughters, Dylan Marie and Ellory Claire Valentine.
Blake is predeceased by his loving grandparents, L.B. and Alyne Simmons of Decatur, MS; Albert Dudley, Sr. and Myrtle Valentine of Meridian, MS and Ellawayne Shepherd Valentine of Meridian, MS.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday April 25, 2026, at Lexington Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 10am followed by service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Final Victory Animal Rescue in West Columbia, SC.
Barr-Price Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. We encourage all who knew Blake to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. His story is not just in the facts of his life, but in the experiences he shared with each of us. Let us remember Blake, not with sorrow, but with joy for having had him in our lives.
