Gaston – Graveside services for Betty Jo Conatzer Kannaday Hutto, 89, will be conducted 2:00 pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.
On Thursday, May 13, 2021 our loving mother, Betty was called home by God to begin her life anew in heaven. Born on November 16, 1931 in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Francis Conatzer. We cannot choose when our life begins or how or when it will end, but how we make the journey. “He will be our guide to the end.” Psalm 48:14
Surviving include her children, Nita Pridgen (Gary Lyles) of Lexington, Michael Kannaday (Trish) of Lexington, Robert Kannaday (Patricia) of West Columbia, Shirley Flowers (Mike) of Missouri, Jeff Kannaday (Glenda) of Lexington, and Earl Kannaday of Gaston; sisters, Louise, Sarah, and Deborah; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Robert M. Kannaday; second husband, Jesse L. Hutto; siblings, Leroy, Benny, Mary, Virgie, Helen, Ester and Dorothy; grandson, Christopher B. Kannaday; and granddaughter, Jessica L. Kannaday.
