Bart Pensa Obituary

Bart Kenneth Pensa, aged 63, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Lexington, South Carolina. Born on October 14, 1961, Bart grew into a man known for his dependability and generosity, touching the lives of many with his kindness and dedication.

Bart graduated from Irmo High School before earning his bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in marketing from the University of South Carolina. His professional life was marked by a successful career in sales, working with companies such as Breyers, Kraft, and Mayfield. Bart was awarded Salesman of the Year when working with both Mayfield and Kraft. He spent 25 years as a co-owner at O.L. Holley Sons, contributing significantly to its growth and success.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bart was an avid hobbyist. He had a life long love of sports and found joy in officiating football and baseball games, woodworking, mountain biking, and was known for baking legendary cakes that delighted everyone around him.

Bart is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Wanda Holley Pensa, and their children, Grant (Rhyan) Pensa, Katherine (Justin) Long, Zach Pensa, and five grandchildren: Emma, Conner, Dublin, Murphy, and Jack. He also leaves behind his brother Marc Pensa (Betty), his nieces, Ivy Holley, Erin Munkacsy, and Kelly Fladger, nephews, Jason and Troy Pensa, and grand nephew Hunter Holley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Pensa, his brothers, Karl and Rick Pensa, and his nephew Shane Holley.

Known for his warm and welcoming heart, Bart always encouraged others to come as they are. A visitation will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd, at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington.

Bart's life was a testament to his loving nature and his ability to make a positive impact on those around him. His family and friends will remember him as a pillar of strength and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation https://themmrf.org. Bart benefited greatly from advancements in clinical research from this organization.
