Barbara Barnette Obituary

Columbia – Barbara VanHoy Barnette, 79, of Columbia, SC, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020. She was born in Hamptonville, NC to the late Thurmon VanHoy and the late Maudie Wagner VanHoy.

Barbara is survived by her forever love and spouse of 64 years, Charles Finley Barnette; grandsons, Matthew Barnette and Anthony Hogue; great-grandson, “AJ” Anthony Hogue, Jr.; and her sister, Glenda Martin.

She is preceded in death by her son, Bryon Barnette; brothers, Bobby VanHoy and Kenneth VanHoy; and her sister, Gladys Salmon.

Due to the current COVID19 situation, there will be a service held at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
