Ashley E. Kastanes was a woman of substance, a beacon of light in a world that can sometimes feel shrouded in darkness. Born on August 24, 1983, in Lexington, South Carolina, Ashley was a testament to her community's resilience and strength. Her life was a rich tapestry woven with threads of compassion, determination, and an unwavering commitment to her work in Administration. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Ashley embodied this sentiment, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she interacted with.
Throughout her life, Ashley remained a dedicated daughter to her parents, George and Doris Kastanes, and a supportive sister to Alex. She was a woman who understood the importance of family, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter will be truly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lexington County Animal Services 321 Ball Park Rd. Lexington, SC 29072.

Ashley chose the latter, treating each day as a gift and inspiring others to do the same.
