Arthur "Dick" Wingard, Jr.

Lexington – Arthur “Dick” Wingard, Jr., 81, of Lexington SC, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020.  He was born in Leesville, SC to the late Arthur and Mazzie Wingard.

Dick was a man that loved his family and he was quick to help them out in any way he could.  He loved being outdoors, especially on a tractor or sitting in his favorite spot under the tree in his glider.  Dick enjoyed fishing too.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Wingard; his children, Brenda (Eddie) Goff, Bruce (Debbie) Wingard, Don (Laura) Wingard, and Jennifer Wingard; his brother, Raynell Wingard; his sister, Clara Porter; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Shawn, Lee, Michael, Steven, Kayla, and Noah.  Dick also is survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, William, Alfred, Dock, Tom, and Sam; and by his sisters, Evalou, and Lorraine.

There will be a funeral service Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Red Bank Baptist Church of Lexington at 11:00AM.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
