Arthur "Art" Martin Russell Obituary
Art Russell, 69, of Columbia, SC passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Art retired from the Navy and went on to work for IBM for several years. Art was an active member in his church, St. Marks Methodist, and was always willing to help in any way he could. He was an avid Gamecock fan.
Art is survived by his children, Holly Russell, Brittany Russell and Mickey Russell; two grandchildren, Christian and Cayden; sisters, Becky (Keith) Kirchner, Patsy (John) Conner; and nieces, Lindy (Brandon) Turner and Casey (Harrison) Evans.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mendal A. and Myrtis B. Russell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 3200 Lyles Street, Columbia, SC 29201. The family will receive visitors following the service. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Marks United Methodist Church.
