Leesville--Services for Linda Arline Smith, 71, will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Summerland Church with the Rev. Ray Massey and Rev. Joel Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
Mrs. Smith passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Born in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Zeno Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Hendrix Sherbert. She was a member of Summerland Church, retired from the B-L Primary School Library with 32 years of service and the Lexington County Public Library at B-L for 15 years of service. Mrs. Smith was a Girl Scout Leader for over 25 years.
Surviving is her husband, Dean Smith, son, Jeffery Smith; daughter, Beth McGee (Brian); sister, Martha Corley; grandchildren, Jennifer McGee and Michelle McGee, great-grandchildren, Kayla McGee and Samantha Smith.
