April M. Smith

Visitation for April Smith,78, will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

The family will receive friends during this time and will have a private burial at a later date.

Mrs. April Smith passed away November 11th in the comfort of her home under the care of her loving husband and family with the assistance of the excellent team of nurses and staff at Lutheran Hospice.

Mrs. Smith was born in Southampton, England on January 7, 1945.  She was the daughter of the late James Elliott Mullins and Betty Irene Mullins.

She retired from Ansaldo STS USA in 2012.  She spent her retirement years enjoying time with her family, gardening and her favorite hobby; shopping.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Dean Smith; daughters, Shelly Woodward (Jim); Jody Durden; son Jeff Smith (Misty); brothers, Barry Mullins, Jim Mullins (Patty), Jerry Mullins (Susan) and grandchildren, Hunter Williams, McCade Durden (Leigha), Skylar Harbison, Peyton Smith, Tessa Smith, Mikey Goodall and Makayla Goodall; great grandchildren, Kennedy Durden, Griffin Harbison, Boone Durden, Forrest Acre, Briggs Durden, Rylee Acre and Khloe along with many other extended family and friends.
