Annell Roland Obituary

Annell Fox Roland, 98, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed to her heavenly home on 12/16/2025. Annell was born in the year 1927 in Columbia, SC to the late M. L. Fox and Bessie Manus Fox Medlin.

She was a homemaker and seamstress in West Columbia until moving to Lexington, SC and establishing Hillview Mobile Home Park. She was a beloved mother and grandmother as well as a friend to all she met. 

She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne R. Freeman (Billy) and Wyona R. Bradley (Garry); son, D. J. Roland III (Carla); four grandchildren, Dannell Johnson (Kevin), Billy Freeman, Jeremy Roland (Jessica), Dylan Roland (Allie); and four great grandsons, Caleb Freeman, Chandler Freeman, Devin Johnson, and Nate Johnson.

She was predeceased by her husband, D. J. Roland, Jr.; and daughter, Virginia Roland.

Visitation will be at 11:00am on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1717 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia SC with funeral services to follow at 12pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, The Shriner’s Hospital (where she received burn treatments as a child) or a charity of your choice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
