With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ann Scally Bullock on December 19, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, fearlessness, laughter, and a life devoted to helping others.
Ann was born on April 17, 1959, to the late Jerry and Patricia Scally. She grew up in Chatham, New Jersey, where she attended Chatham High School. In 1976, she moved to Aiken, South Carolina, and graduated from St. Angela Academy in 1977. Ann was a member of Saint Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
She pursued her education with both creativity and purpose, attending Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta, Georgia, to study fashion design, and later studying accounting at the University of South Carolina Aiken.
Ann’s passion for serving victims of crime was ignited in 1985 while working as a bookkeeper with the Coalition to Assist Abused Persons, now known as the Cumbee Center. During this time, she developed grant-writing skills and began directly assisting victims of domestic violence. In the early 1990s, she transitioned to the Aiken County Solicitor’s Office, where she wrote grants and became Director of the Victim Witness Assistance Program.
In 1999, Ann began working for Aiken County Government in victim advocacy, serving first with the Second Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office and later with the Victim Services Division of Aiken County Administration. As a Victim Advocate, she was instrumental in the creation of the Domestic Violence Court in Aiken County. Ann retired in 2018 after more than three decades of dedicated service.
Following retirement, Ann pursued her creative passion by opening Annie B. Décor, where she designed floral arrangements and handcrafted custom wreaths that reflected her artistic spirit and attention to detail.
On May 27, 1995, Ann married her soulmate, Ben Bullock. Their 30 years together were filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They shared countless memories sailing the Virgin Islands, cruising through the Caribbean and Mexico, navigating the Intracoastal Waterway, dancing on the pier at Edisto Beach, exploring new restaurants in Charleston, enjoying family trips to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with friends and family on Lake Murray.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Ben Bullock; and her four loving daughters, Patricia Rich (Sean Steed), Bridget Rich Willing (Nicolas), Karissa Cockrell (David), and Michelle Cossy (David).
She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, who were the center of her world: Bailey Iverson, Cassidy Iverson, Anna Steed, Addison Willing, Ben David Bullock, Penny Neel, Justin Cockrell (Hannah), Sarah Cockrell, and Jessica Rose (Matthew). She is also survived by her devoted sisters-in-law, Linda Jenkins and June Bullock (Frank); her niece and nephews, Allison Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, and Scott Jenkins; her grand-niece and grand-nephew, Hannah Garvin and Gavin Jenkins; and her great-grandchildren, Brooks Cockrell, Abigail Jackson, Nathaniel Jackson, and William Jackson.
Ann will forever be remembered for her devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren, her fearless spirit, her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her sparkling blue eyes.
Ann’s memorial service will be 12:00 pm (Noon) Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s memory to ACTS of Aiken, South Carolina.
