Anastasia “Daisy” Judith Hardy was born on the perfect date - April 25. In her short 8 months of life, she gave immeasurable joy to her family. Anastasia loved to be held and she was most of the time taking many naps on Mom or Dad. She was adored by all her siblings. Theodore was a fantastic older brother to all his siblings, and Anastasia loved him immediately. Rosina was so helpful and sweet with her baby sister and often would volunteer to do things to help care for her like change her diaper. Daisy loved her so very much. Benjamin worked particularly hard to make sure that Daisy adored him, and she loved to laugh at his games, and would even fall asleep as he sat and held her. Felicity was her car buddy and loved to keep her entertained while she rode in the car with her tickles and lengthy impromptu songs. Edmund was always happy to bring diapers for the baby and would strongly object if one of his siblings beat him to being helpful. Violet always wanted a baby girl since she was old enough to love a doll. When she met Anastasia for the first time it was love at first sight and the biggest hug a toddler can give.
Daisy loved to sit with Edmund and Violet on the floor while they played with their magnet blocks, and she would gladly assist in closely examining the blocks for taste and smackability. She was getting into her nightly routine of baby food with daddy, but she usually had to go visit mama in the middle of her meals. She always loved visiting whichever parent wasn’t holding her and give kisses (though dad’s beard was often too scratchy). She always had to say good morning to dad in his office every day and would give him the biggest smiles. She was a very gentle baby and loved to hold and gently stroke the faces of the people she loved.
As with all babies, she loved her mama most of all. They spent most of the hours of the day together. Mama made up songs especially for her and she almost always responded to them by beaming in delight even if she was across the room with someone else. Sometimes it seemed like she thought the songs were her name and she would only look if you sang them to her.
She was the sweetest girl and had the most beautiful little crooked smile with the most bright shining eyes. She was our Daisy Dew Drop and is missed more than words can ever express.
She is survived by her loving parents, Abraham and Emily; her adoring siblings, Theodore, Rosina, Benjamin, Felicity, Edmund, and Violet; her grandparents, Tom and Rachel Hardy, and Ben and Judy Wells; as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.
A visitation for Daisy will be held on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Three Rivers Baptist Church in Irmo, S.C., followed by a funeral service at 4:00pm.
