Memorial service for Allen Canzater, 56, will be held at a later date at The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses; 4560 US 321 Gaston, SC 29053. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
Mr. Canzater passed away surrounded by close family Sunday, May 21, 2023. Born in Blythewood, SC, he was the son of Blondell Brown Canzater and the late George Canzater. He was a 1985 graduate of Spring Valley High School. Mr. Canzater was baptized June 1987 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a family man who loved laughing and joking. Mr. Canzater drove trucks for over 30 years and loved his truck companion and dog, Prince George, III. He enjoyed watching CNN and Marvel action movies.
Surviving include his wife of 34 years, Loretta Canzater; son, Sterling Canzater; daughter, Porsha (David) Moore; brothers, Charles (Melvina) Canzater and Daniel (Tanisha) Canzater; sisters, Jennifer Canzater-Bandy, Olivia Canzater, and Pam (Alphonso) Hoover; 3 grandchildren, Gabby Moore, Aliyah Collins, and Parker Moore; mother-in-law, Ethel M. Knox; sisters-in-law, Lucrecia (Russell) Damon, Dorothy Matthews, and Sara Knox; brother-in-law, Heyward Knox, Charles (Vernessa) Knox, and Alexander Prescott; his truck driving buddy, Craig Keitt; and numerous of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and spiritual brothers and sisters.
He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Alta M. Prescott; brother-in-law, Hazel Knox; and his best friend, Todd Downing.
