William F. Burgess, Jr.

Bill Burgess, 87, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017.
Born in Batesburg, SC, he was the son of the late William F. Burgess, Sr. and Florence Hite Burgess.
He was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church and served in the Air Force.  He retired from Midlands Technical College as an instructor for 24 years.
Surviving are his daughter, Deborah Burgess-Ellis (Craig) of Lexington, SC; his son, Ken Burgess (Michelle) of Spokane, WA; grandchildren Ian and Maddie Burgess; sister, Florine Stoudemire of Lexington, SC.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Lilla Barfield Burgess, also his sister, Catherine Burgess Permenter.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 with  funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.  
The family would like to thank Oakleaf Village and Agape Hospice for their excellent care during his illness. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
