William Craig Obituary

Lexington - Funeral services for William Hollis Craig ('Bill'), 92, will be conducted Tuesday, 10 December 2019. There will be an informal memorial church service starting at 11:00 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4238 Augusta Road, Lexington, S.C. 29073. A military burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, S.C., 29229. The funeral procession will commence at 2:45 pm at the entrance to the cemetery, with services being provided by Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.

Bill' was born 18 November 1927, and passed away Tuesday, 4 December, 2019, at Lexington Community Hospice House. He was a son of the late Coy and Clara Bell Craig. He was an active member at Fellowship Baptist Church, and participated in several missionary trips over the years. He was also a WWII veteran while serving in the US Navy on an ammunition ship, as well as, also six years in the US Air Force. Bill loved music, loved to sing, and belonged to several choirs over the years.

He is survived by three daughters, Susan Carabetta of Lexington, S.C., Debbie Abrams from Grantham England, and Jessica Craig of Durham, NC. He is also survived by two sons, Allen Craig of Mt Juliet, TN, and Brian Craig, of Durham, NC. Daughter, Judy Ann Hert, predeceased Bill. He had a sister, Beverly Craig of Yellow Springs, OH, and brother Gary Craig of Wilmington, NC. Bill had 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, kind memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church or Agape Hospice Care.
