Wanda S Sheck

West Columbia-Wanda Sheck, 63, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. Born June 7, 1954 in Rocky Mount, NC, she was the daughter of the late Irene Manning.

Wanda was the sweetest person to ever walk the earth. She helped everyone and took care of her family; especially her loving husband Steven, and son Brandon Doyle Roof. Wanda enjoyed cooking, traveling, and she loved her dogs, especially Mick. A Brooklyn-Cayce high school graduate of the Class of 1973 and member of the National Federation of the Blind, she had retired from Lexington School District 4.

Survivors include her husband; son; former sister-in-law Kay Asbill; nephew Anthony Asbill; and niece Laura A. Moore.

A memorial service for Mrs. Sheck will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Harvest Church (4865 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC, 29072) with Pastor Ken Jumper officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
