Theodore Harrison Sr.

Mr. Theodore Harrison Sr. 68, affectionately known by family and friends as “Thee” or “Mr. Ted”, was born April 30, 1950 in Columbus, GA. He was son of the late Q.C. and Beatrice Harrison. He spent his early years in Germany before arriving in Columbia, SC to spend the reminder of his life.  Theodore was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina and graduated from Eau Claire High School, Class of 1968. He attended Western Carolina University and Benedict College class of 1977. He served with Honor in the South Carolina National Guard. His love for children led him to work for Richland County School District 1 and City of Columbia Parks and Recreation for 25 plus years before his retirement. He was proceeded in death by Q.C. and Beatrice Harrison (Parents), Tommy Harrison (Brother) and Diane Kates (Sister).  He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Colclough Harrison of 35 years; Cherrelle (Daughter) and husband Antwan Houser, Desmond Harrison (Son). He is also survived by Marion Harrison (Former Wife), Theodore Jr (Son) and wife Eugenia Harrison, and Tarsha (Daughter) and her husband Kevin Rivers. He has six grandchildren: Tevin (Jemiah) Arrington, Kennedy Rivers, Courtney Harris, Blake Harrison, Bryanna Harrison and Colin Patterson. Along with one great grandchild: Maliyah Arrington. He is survived by his siblings: Wilson (Kathrine) Harrison, Willie (Angelina) Harrison, His Brother in law Al (Rico) Kates, Quincy (Billie) Harrison and sisters Leretta Harrison, Delores (Nathaniel) Brown, Angie Frazier, Debra Jackson, and Patrice Harrison.  He also leaves cherish memories with numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of family members and friends.
