Sue Norris Allen

Elizabeth Sue Norris Allen of West Columbia, SC passed away peacefully on Monday morning, Dec 4, 2017, after a difficult battle with cancer.  She was born on December 26,1943 to Ray Norris and Reba Cox, both now deceased.  She is survived by her beloved husband Robert “Bob” Allen of 21 Years, and her children Jamie Burroughs and Crystal Wingard, and their spouses Kari and Michael, semi-adopted Angie Huffstetler and her husband David, step-children and spouses Karen Coleman, Jennie and Tom Albus, Anna Allen, and Natalie and Will Lauderback; true joys in her life were her grandchildren, Nicole Wingard and Patrick Burroughs, and step-grandchildren Bailey, Austin, Will, Bradley, Ryan, Drew, Deanna, Blair, Blake and Charlie; beloved brothers and sisters-in-law Don and Marilyn Norris, and Lavern and Gail Norris, nephews and nieces Troy, Brian, Reba and Buddy. 

Sue grew up in Tabor City, North Carolina and graduated from Tabor City High School.  She eventually found her way to West Columbia where she became a very successful barber, retiring from The Rogue last year. She felt so blessed to work closely with her two brothers at their salons throughout her career.  Sue was truly a special person and had a positive impact on the lives of many.  She will be remembered for her infectious smile and allowing God's love to shine through her for those around her.  Sue will be deeply missed.   

Memorials may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Lexington Medical Center where so many wonderful, caring doctors and nurses assisted with her care.  Services will be held at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072 at 1:30pm Saturday, December 9, 2017.
