Sidney Lindsley Obituary

Sidney G. Lindsley of Camden, Maine, passed away at the age of 91, on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Sid grew up in Wenham, Massachusetts and attended Boston University. Sid and his wife Priscilla moved to Maine in the early 1980’s when Sid began work with Knox Semiconductor.

Sid had a lifelong love of the sea and boating. He served as Commodore of the Camden Yacht Club and volunteered with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Rockland. Sid was named Crewman of the Quarter, the first non-Coast Guard member ever given this honor in Rockland.

Sid dedicated much of his time to the town of Camden in many capacities including Camden Select Board, Deputy Registrar of Voters, Budget Committee, Planning committee and more.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Priscilla, his brother Dick (Diana), and nieces/nephews Christine (Bill), Karen (Rick), Drew (Karen) and Heather (Bill).
