Ruby Kaminer Rawl

Visitation for Ruby Kaminer Rawl, age 96, will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Lexington Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruby, widow of Calvin Roy Rawl, passed away peacefully at her home in Lexington, SC, on November 5, 2018. Born November 12, 1921, in Gilbert, SC, she was the daughter of the late Caleb Wesley and Ressie Price Kaminer and grew up in the Gilbert community, attended Gilbert schools and graduated from Gilbert High School, Class of 1940.

She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church where, in earlier years, she taught Sunday School and assisted with Vacation Bible School. She was retired from General Electric/Phillips Components.

She is survived by her daughter, Carole Rawl Shealy; sister, Julia K. Strickland; grandchildren, Melinda S.

Parker, Vicki L. Shealy, Simon C. Shealy (Lisa), Stacy B. Shealy (Renay) and Phillip W. Evans (Joel); great grandchildren, Jonathan B. Parker (Cara), Natalie R. Parker, Nicki J. Parker, Amanda Love Rawl, Ryann M. Shealy, Kamryn E. Shealy and Brennan J. Shealy; great-great grandchild, Jack W. Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her children, Roy Edwin Rawl, Sr. and Linda Rawl Shealy; grandchildren, Roy Edwin (Eddie) Rawl, Jr., and Amanda Lynn Rawl; great grandchild,

Brittany Nicole Parker; brothers, Joffre O. Kaminer, Glenn W. Kaminer and Howard M. Kaminer; and sisters, Faye K. Keich, Evelyn K. Rawl and Melba K. Jannusch.

The Family would like to extend a special thanks to Doris Shahid, Kelly Warren and Sue Meyers with MSA Hospice for the loving care provided to their mom/mema over the last nine months.
