Rodger Hallas Jupp

Rodger Hallas Jupp was born on March 15, 1956 in Teaneck, NJ, to Stanley Dexter Jupp II and Mamie “Judy” Hallas Jupp.  He was the second of their three sons.  Rodger grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, after the family relocated there when he was very young.

Rodger received his architectural degree from Louisiana Tech University 1988, then completed his internship and testing process; finally achieving his dream of becoming a registered architect in 1998.  Rodger specialized in healthcare architecture, and enjoyed working with Lexington Medical Center, GMK Associates, JHS Architects, and Davis & Floyd during his career in Columbia, SC.  He also worked with Hunton Brady Architects in Orlando, Florida in the early 2000’s.

Some of Rodger’s favorite interests included racing his beloved SCCA Toyota road course #22 car, excelling at darts, flying remote-control airplanes, and rooting for his favorite team, the New Orleans Saints.

Rodger was always thankful for his family, for church family, and for friends. He was devoted to his family, and sought God in the best way that he knew how.

Rodger is survived by his wife, Roberta; his children, Connor, Callan, and Carsyn;  brother & sister-in-law Stanley D. Jupp III and Cynthia Jupp; brother & sister-in-law Terence Jupp and Sarah Jupp, and nephew Preston Jupp.

A memorial service for Rodger is scheduled for 4pm on January 6, 2018, at the Columbia First Seventh-Day Adventist church, located at 243 Riverchase Way, Lexington, SC, 29072.
