Robert "Bobby" Lacy Brown, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Lacy Brown, Jr. of Gaston entered the gates of heaven on May 8, 2017. He was born on August 22, 1949 to Robert Lacy Brown, Sr. and Margaret McElveen Brown. Bobby was a 1967 graduate of A. C. Flora High School and a 1976 graduate of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with a certificate in HVAC/R. He had over 40 years of HVAC/R experience and an extensive knowledge of Manitowoc Food Service Equipment. He was an avid music fan, having played guitar (both rhythm and bass) in many bands over his lifetime. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lacy Brown Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Brown Jones; son, Robert Lacy Brown III and his wife Rachel; grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Sarah Jones, Braeden Jones, RJ Brown, Riley Brown and Ramsey Brown; his mother, Margaret Brown; brother, Chris Brown and his wife Mimi; sisters, Marnie Brown, Anne Coker and husband Richard, Gene Brown; nephews, Richard (Chip) Coker III and Zach Brown; nieces, Lindsay Coker, Zanne Brown, and Brooke Meding.  A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1130 Calvary Church Road, Swansea, SC 29160.
