Richard McCoy Kyzer, Jr.

Richard (Ricky) M. Kyzer, Jr., 56, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at  his home in Gilbert, SC.

Born in West Columbia, SC, he is the son of Richard M. Kyzer, Sr. and the late Patricia Paxton Kyzer.

He was a graduate of Gilbert High School.  Upon graduation, he became a master electrician.  Rick loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman.  His hobbies included hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed a variety of music and was passionate about college football, especially the USC Gamecocks.  He was a wonderful and caring person and will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his son, Grant Kyzer of Lancaster; brothers, Jody Kyzer and Mark Kyzer of  Gilbert, and Zachary Kyzer of Irmo; sisters, Sherry Stone and Kathy Goings of Lexington and Beverly Kyzer of Gilbert.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. James Lutheran Church in Red Bank with the Pastor Kevin Ogilvie, PhD., officiating.

AFTERGLOW
