On November 13 of 2019, our beloved Ralph Edward Ott decided that it was his time to go to his forever home and be with God. After fighting for weeks at Palmetto Baptist Hospital and several years of being ill, he was not able to regain his physical abilities. The Family would like to thank Dr. Bradley Word, for his intelligence and devotion to Ralph’s health.
Ralph was currently living at 405 Sardis Church Rd of Swansea, SC and passed away at his home. Ralph was predeceased by his father (Lonnie Samuel Ott), mother (Pearlie Mae Dell Spires Ott), and brother (Samuel Lonnie Ott).
Ralph is survived by his loving wife (Donna Julia Hancock Ott), sisters ( Willie Mae Wise of Swansea) and (Mary Frances “Pat” Murphy and husband John of Swansea), Brothers (Bobby Ott and wife June of Swansea) and ( Charles Ott and wife Elaine of Sandy Run), Aunt (Annie Laura Ott Rawls), devoted daughter (Vicki Ott Stevenson and husband Troy of Swansea), Son (Edward Ralph Ott and devoted wife Angela of Swansea). Ralph Cherished his grandchildren (Robert Ryan Hartley and wife Heather of Pelion), (Samuel Edward Ott and wife Keeley of Swansea), (Brianna Stevenson Speciale and husband Josh of Sandy Run), (Julia Frances Ott of Gaston), (Ida Reba Anne Smith of Gaston), (Jacob Daniel Stevenson of Swansea), (Beatrice Corinne Franklin) And (Julia Stevenson Peacock and husband John of Lexington). Ralph thought the world of his great-grandchildren (Cooper Ryan Hartley), (Claire Elizabeth Hartley), (Jade Justice), (Shanea Justice), (Amber Justice), (Jace Paul Speciale), (Paris Leahanne Smith) and (Gracie Rhea Peacock).
Ralph was a “Jack-of-all-trades” and he master them all. He retired from Kline Iron and Steel after working at AT&T Nassau fourteen years, driving a train. His favorite hobbies among all was driving his John Deere Tractor, NASCAR and model trains. Ralph was a member of Sandy Run Lutheran Church.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Sandy Run Lutheran Church (11:00 a.m.) officiated by Pastor Rick Inman. Ralph’s best friend Brian Palmieri and members of his family will share their memories of Ralph’s life. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel assisted with the arrangements for the family.
