Paul Hughes

Paul J. Hughes, age 67, died March 29, 2019, in Lexington, SC. He was born on September 2, 1951 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to David and Mary Hughes, the oldest of their seven children. On October 2, 1976, he married Louise Wittenbrader. In June of 1984, he graduated from Hahnemann Medical College, in Pennsylvania. Paul began his career as a family physician. For the last 32 years, he worked as a medical director for various Medicare contractors. In his free time, Paul loved spending time with his family, photography, going to the movies with his wife, and trying out new restaurants. He will be dearly missed by his wife Louise, twin daughters, Rebecca and Lindsey, son-in-law Alex Berk, sisters, Mary-Ann Kowalski and Patricia Barret, brother, David Hughes, brothers-in-law, Mike Barret and Rick Kowalski. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 3 pm Thursday, April, 18, 2019 at NORTHSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH, 4347 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072; Reception to follow.
