Patricia "Pat" Hayes Walker, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the age of 86.
A native of NC, Pat supported her husband, Earl, while at NC State. In 1966, they moved from TN to SC when Carolina Eastman began. Pat was a stay at home mom and very involved in the community until she and Earl opened Printers Inc in Columbia in 1970. They enjoyed operating their small business for 24 years. Pat viewed her customers as her very good friends. She will always be remembered for her love of her family, her sense of humor, her obsession with Mickey Mouse and her love of the NC State Wolfpack.
She is survived by her children Debbie (Jimmy) of Mt. Pleasant, and Eric (Sheila) of Atlanta; grandchildren Ashley (Richard) Cashon, Adam (Heather) Chavis, Brittany (Brad) Hanberry, Amanda Walker, Josh Walker; great grandchildren Walker and Hayes Cashon, Troy and Emma Chavis, and Ella Hanberry. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Earl and her brother, Jack Hayes.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at State Street Baptist Church, on her birthday, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 1 pm. Visitation will begin at noon. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
