Norma Lee Taylor Rish entered into her Eternal Rest on Saturday, December 8, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on September 19, 1932, the first of four daughters of Druie C. Taylor and Evetta Ricard Taylor of Leesville. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and retired from Union Switch and Signal of Batesburg. She and her late husband, Kelly Gantt Rish resided in Leesville and were active members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her sons, Allen (Terri) Rish and Mitchell Rish, four grandchildren, Megan (Desimond) Brown, Jessica (Michael) Jordan, Amanda (Marshall) Crouch, Cory (Samantha) Rish, nine great grandchildren, Demarion, Tristen, Haleigh and Jaylyn Brown, Ava, Cameron and Carson Jordan, Bailey Crouch, Beckett Mitchell Rish, sisters, Euvonnie T. Moak, Mary T. (Bill) Harden, brother-in-law, Benjie Rhoad, special friend, Gene Berry.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her sister, Jeanette T. Rhoad, and brother-in-law, Gene Moak.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rish will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 210 Bethlehem Circle Leesville, SC 29070, with the Rev. David Edenfield officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. The family request that in lieu of floral tributes that memorials be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
The family is very appreciative to Dr. Charles Harmon and Staff of Lexington Surgical Associates, Lexington Medical Center Nurses and Staff on 7th. Surgical, Pruitt Hospice Group, Friends, Neighbors and Church Family for their compassionate care of our "special lady".
