Nellie Blazeby Gantt

Nellie Blazeby Gantt, 92, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019. Born December 28, 1926 in Bath, England, she was a daughter of the late William Blazeby and Mary Maude Archer Blazeby.

A member of Red Bank Baptist Church, Ms. Gantt was an avid reader, who enjoyed knitting and going camping.

She is survived by her son Richard “Ricky” Gantt; daughters Nina Gates, Mary Price (Wynne), and Rebecca “Becky” Latimer (Cliff); five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gantt was preceded in death by her husband Letroy “Lee” Gantt; a grandson; siblings; nieces; nephews; as well as extended family in England.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Red Bank Baptist Church, 120 Community Dr., Lexington, SC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
