Michael "Mikie" Ferrell Peagler

Michael “Mikie” Ferrell Peagler, 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 surrounded by family. Born on September 10, 1954 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late William and Mildred Peagler.

Mikie loved spending time with his family, his dog Captain, watching Carolina football, and building things in his workshop. He was employed with Fitts and Goodwin for 33 years as a superintendent. Mikie loved his job and considered Fitts and Goodwin family as well.

He is survived by his wife Beth, of 44 years; daughters, Jennifer Peagler and Kimberly Nguyen (Tu); brothers, William Peagler (Diane) and Stephen Peagler; and his sister Linda Link. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Ann Padgett.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Barr- Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Barr- Price, with Michael Hillard leading the service. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny Peagler, Ernie Peagler, Stephen Peagler, Edward Reese, James Smith, Tom Mitchell, and Bruce Collins.

The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of 8th Oncology at Lexington Medical Center, Dr. Steve Madden and staff at Lexington Oncology for their wonderful care, as well as Dr. Robert Malanuk and staff.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lexington Medical Center Foundation, Cancer Care fund.
